Upcoming Shoot

I am so excited about my next shoot! I will be photographing both shows of the Snow Queen next weekend. The performances are being put on by the Northern Neck Youth Performing Arts Foundation in Warsaw, Virginia. I have photographed other performance for them and the shows are always exceptional! They are having two performances on Saturday February 15, 2:00pm and 6:30 pm. The performances are held at the Northumberland High School Auditorium and the tickets are $10 presale / $12 at door. Please come and support this wonderful local dance studio and a great bunch of hardworking young dancers.

Northern Neck Youth Performing Arts is also in the running for a $25,000 small business grant sponsored by FedEx. In order to win, they need as many votes as they can get. You can vote daily and the voting closes on February 23, so time is running short. They are doing good on votes but can use alot more. Please help and support them by voting daily and sharing with your friends.

My sweetheart and I have recently taken up hiking. We are planning to be married in October and we both have some winter coat (and a little more) to shed before the wedding. We both enjoy nature and I enjoy photography, so we figured that hiking was a good solution for many reasons. We have already started exploring the trails around Richmond and up and down the James River. We have also hiked some in the Northern Neck. We hope by spring we will be conditioned enough to do some tougher trails in Shenandoah or parts of the AT (very small ones!). I will carry my camera, so please keep posted to follow my photographic journey.
